Our Common investigation methods...
Some of our common geotechnical and environmental investigation and sampling methods include:
- Soil boring: Drilling into the ground to collect soil samples for laboratory testing.
- Test pit excavation: Digging pits to visually inspect soil layers and collect samples.
- Cone Penetration Test (CPT): Pushing a cone-shaped probe into the ground to measure soil resistance.
- Standard Penetration Test (SPT): Driving a heavy weight into the ground to measure soil resistance.
- Plate Load Test: Loading a plate on the ground surface to measure soil bearing capacity.
- Inclinometer installation: Monitoring ground movement and deformation.
- Standpipe piezometers: Installation of wells to monitor, sample and assess the nature of groundwater.
Our simple process
