Site Lot Classifications and Our Home Builder Service
Working with a number of home builders, Geotechnical Consultants Australia Pty Ltd (GCA) specialises in delivering affordable and quick turn over site investigations and site lot classifications in accordance with Australian Standards (AS) 2870-2011.
GCA will carry out the site investigation and provide you with a more detailed geotechnical investigation and site lot classification report, which includes detailed appendices and laboratory certificates, at a fraction of the cost.
All of our site lot classifications are carried out to Australian Standards, and include, where deemed necessary, laboratory testing on collected soil samples by our affiliate NATA accredited laboratory.

What Does This Service Include?
- Our geotechnical investigation and site lot classification reports are compiled with a higher standard than the basic letter report, and set a benchmark for home builder requirements. GCA's standard site lot classification report includes and generally comments on:
- Scope of works carried out along with a detailed site plan with testing locations.
- Details on the proposed development and site description.
- Subsurface conditions and detailed borehole logs.
- Atterberg Limit test results and laboratory certificates (if carried out)
- Excavation conditions and recommendations on excavation methods in soils.
- Recommendations on suitable foundation types and design for the site.
- General geotechnical advice on site preparation.
- Groundwater levels which may be determined during the site investigation.
- “Site Lot Classification” in accordance with AS 2870-2011.
